In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, when Harry, Ron and Hermione are camping in the forest, they overhear a group of runaways (including Ted Tonks, Dean Thomas, and a small cohort of goblins) ‘fishing’ for salmon.
Alas, wizard ‘fishing’, as one astute Redditor pointed out, consists of a wizard (in this case, Ted Tonks), pointing their wand at a river and shouting “accio fish”.
Other fans were quick to point out some flaws in the logistics of this, wondering whether a wizard needed to point his wand at a specific fish to attract it, or whether the simple spell would completely empty a body of water.
